Bridging Technology & Financial Intelligence

Hi, I’m Jodette Alejandro, a Master of Accounting student at William & Mary. After several years in software quality assurance and a short time in property and casualty insurance, I decided to change my career to accounting. I’ve always enjoyed solving complex problems and catching small details, which naturally led me toward accounting, especially in tax.

Career Transition

After more than six years in software quality assurance and some time in the insurance industry, I decided to make a shift into accounting in search of a more stable, long-term career path. Along the way, I realized that the skills I developed—like analyzing systems, following structured processes, and staying detail-focused—translate really well into accounting work.

Why Taxation?

What drew me in most was the blend of structure and problem-solving, especially in tax. I enjoy the challenge of working through complex rules and figuring out the right answer, and I’m excited to keep building that expertise as I move forward in my career.
